I never post the plot of a book I read and review, but I can say that this one was awesome in so many ways. Yes there is a second chance at love and characters that stood out from the first chapter and a story-line that connected everything together so fantastically. I highly recommend this book because I had a feel good feeling all the time I was reading it and long after too. I volunteered to read an advance copy of this book, but also purchased it!

When you get a second chance with the one that got away David DeVant won't give up. David is now CEO of his father's billion dollar advertising company but his life feels hollow and he's dreaming of a loving wife and children, especially a daughter. After a year following his father's posing he finally agrees to meet his sister at their childhood home to get it ready to sell. Memories of the girl across the street that used to throw dirt at him makes him smile. Allison Simon is now a divorced single mother and struggling to make ends meet with a douche of an ex. With a chance meeting David is smitten all over with Allison and her now daughter Sierra. The what if's, and could have been's don't stand in the way of the chemistry arching off this meant to be couple. Working through hurdles thrown at them by their past, will this single mom and CEO be able to forge a future together??? A great story that flows flawlessly with real characters. His/her POV, no cheating, no cliffhanger, and a very HEA!.! I love how David and Sierra bond from the first meeting and David Stroud in to help Allison anyway he can. Can't wait for more from Weston Parker. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book and purchased a copy for my favorite collection. A must one click!!!

David is any girl's book boyfriend- handsome, rich, smart, an old friend, and totally devoted to Allison, and her adorable little girl. This is a nice fairy tale HEA. The inconsistansies come in with David being a little too laid back about a billion dollar inherited business after having been in the military. He's late all the time and his best friend has to show him the ropes still, a year later. He creates a job for Allison, with no thought put into it. His sister told him that Allison had been divorced while they were cleaning out the homestead, but a chapter later he's asking his sister if she knew whether Allison was divorced. The blurb says that Allison was his little sister's BF, but in the actual story his sister is the oldest sibling, and Allison was the girl she babysat. There's more, but if you can overlook them it is a cute a-h-h-h fairy tale romance. Wish there was a story about their best friends, the sub characters Greyson and Katrina. Greyson sounds like he may be a closet gay- or not- and it would be nice to find out that Katrina wasn't really all smack talk afterall. Oh well. Also, I have an earlier book with a different title but the same cover pic, that I think is the same characters. But there's no reference to that effect. I think Mr. Parker needs a professional assistant that could keep track of all these descrepancies, because he's got great talent in this genre. I enjoyed it.

Allison, a waitress at a local diner, and David, retired Air Force and CEO of the family advertising company, grew up together and made some decisions that impacted their futures. As the story progresses they reconnect, old decisions are revisited while new ones are made, and the lasting repercussions may sabotage any chance they have at a future. Weston Parker's Always Been Mine is a lovely tale about first love s and second chances with a few surprises thrown in for good measure.I received a free copy of the book from the author. I had the opportunity to review or not.

A hot and sweet romance that I couldn't put down. I've enjoyed all of Weston Parker's books, but this might just be my favorite. Well done. Can't wait for the next one.

They had been neighbors growing up, she had crushed on him, and then he went into the military. Their story, is full of surprises, as they run into each other again years later, the friendship, feelings, laughter, family is still there. Join David and Allison to see where their story takes them❤️. I enjoyed reading it.

I was reading always been mine, and then I realized i have read this book already but under a different name. I was sad to see that that author just put it in a different on it and I paid for the book twice!! The other book it titled Mr. Big Stuff

Hot, sexy, beautiful, funny, twist n turns, loving, family, trust, loyal, memories, hurt, strength.Plus a lot more elements, love the journey this book takes you. You truly feel the characters, the walking down memory lane. Couldnt put it down. Loved it...possible sequel????

Parents of adolescents -- stand by. Adolescence is starting earlier and lasting longer . . . but, according to Dr. Steinberg, that is not such a bad thing, as the adolescent mind is particularly plastic -- uniquely capable of learning and developing -- and emotions and experiences are heightened during adolescences, so the things we experience in adolescence will never quite be as wonderful when we experience them as adults. This book presents an interesting mix of academic treatise / parenting. The author provides extensive data revealing just how immature the adolescent mind can be and discusses social policy vis a vis the United States' treatment of adolescents -- teenagers and drinking, driving, military service, voting, and criminal prosecution. He encourages parents to help delay onset of puberty by ensuring our children eat well, avoid obesity, avoid overexposure to light -- and then protect our children through adolescence through authoritative parenting -- a combination of warmth, firmness, and support.

What a refreshing perspective on adolescence! The advances in neuroscience as explained by Dr Steinberg, have given us a new understanding of how our brains develop, which is fascinating in itself, but the development of the brain during adolescence in particular, explains why it is such a perilous but exciting time in our lives - why it is truly the age of opportunity. As someone on the brink of teen parenting this book was illuminating, invigorating - adolescents are on full throttle and brakes dont work - and liberating: like being handed a compass when you're lost. Highly recommended.

I looked at many books for an Adolescent Psychology course I taught and this was an excellent accessible and affordable choice which my students actually read! Covering both the physical and psychological aspects of adolescent brain development and reorganization I assigned various chapters throughout the semester to complement other materials. Also I would highly recommend this book to anyone parenting, counseling or otherwise interacting with adolescents - rave reviews from two parents to whom I gave copies.

A doctor who works with young adults recommended this book to me and I am grateful to have found it. This is massively helpful when raising adolescents-not to mention understanding teenagers in general. It also helps me understand my own teenage years-I've recommended this to everyone-schools should have teachers read it and pass it out to parents.

Excellent and timely and up-to-date, this book is useful for counselors and psychologists and highly recommended by me for my graduate students. I also encourage professionals who work with adolescents, such as church pastors and teachers and YMCA youth leaders to read this book because it provides important background to the early-onset changes precipitated by puberty. For counselors and psychologists who graduated before the turn of the century and feel like they have been left behind by the 'decade of the brain', this is a very helpful resource. This is especially helpful in the sections that address changes in the onset of puberty and the duration of adolescence. Conversations among parents, educators, mental health professionals, and youth pastors must take this into account. As a psychologist, I strongly believe that we must be proactively defending children as they transition into early adolescence. At the other end of adolescence, we must help people transition into young adulthood with a full understanding of the developing brain's timeline, taking into account the important mail-female differences. The author sets the stage for these discussions with excellent reasoning backed by well organized scientific data.

Essential book on the latest science on adolescent brain plasticity, proving that old notions of personality formation in early childhood are terribly wrong. Every parent, guardian or professional working with adolescents (ages 10-25) should read this book. This is the age of opportunity and the age of potential disaster for lifelong personality and psychology. The author has some hard-won and important prescriptions from parenting to public policy on how to approach adolescent development for better future adults and a better future society.

Parents with adolescence need to read this and everyone who works with this age group. We do look at this age group as hard to deal with and parent are trying to survive this stage of development. Laurence Steinberg shines a light on this stage of development to reframe all that we know and what we think we know....we have been missing out on a opportunity of great importance to children who are going through this stage and the possibilities that could be if we would just gain some understanding. Great information, much needed and necessary for the next generation and generations to come!

Steinberg's work is always impressively authoritative and this book is no exception. It's rich with research and references, dense enough for academics and written clearly enough for the lay public to get a lot out of it too.
